Update on the Coronavirus outbreak in China 1
Many regions of China, including where our EDAC manufacturing facility is located, were notified by the Provincial or Municipal Governments of a mandatory extension of the CNY holiday through February 10th, 2020. This is in response to the spread of the Coronavirus and precautionary measures to avoid further exposure and health risks to Chinese residents. We are monitoring the situation on a daily basis and will comply with all government direction.
We have been contacted by both OEM customers and distribution partners inquiring what if any impact to their open order backlog there is. In addition, what if any impact there is to our business in a broader sense as it relates to continuity to supply in the future. As of February 4th, there has not been any impact to shipments in transit or finished goods shipping out of Hong Kong. As we become aware of any impact on existing orders, effected customers will be notified directly. We will proactively monitor the situation and appropriate actions will be taken to mitigate risk of any supply disruption.
